Undertale Papyrus x Reader: Memories

(A/n: I got this idea from a video on youtube called “Papyrus is Great with Kids” by Chenana4ever. I will put a link down in the description.)

Y/n watched her boyfriend as he played with her young child. C/n was standing in front of him with a jar and started to giggle. “What are you doing, tiny human?” C/n started to laugh. “What is that jar? Why do you have two pacifiers?” C/n fell on his/her bottom while laughing and Papyrus got on his hands and knees to be level with them. “That is way more than you need!” He started to sit on his knees. “You only have one mouth. Are you gonna put one of them in your ear?” He got onto his stomach. “That’s so silly!” C/n laughed more. “I really like your laugh, do you want to hear mine?” He received an ok in response. “NYEH HEH HEH!” C/n bursted into laughter. “You’re very cute. I’m gonna boop your nose, ok?” Another giggle filled response. “Boop.” He said as his finger lightly touched the two year old's nose causing him/her to burst out laughing again.

Y/n walked down the steps catching the eyes of her boyfriend and his brother. She was wearing a red mermaid dress with a thin black shawl around her shoulders. Her red heels clacked against the wooden staircase and her long h/c hair swayed with every step. The silver and diamond necklace, bracelet, and earrings Papyrus gave her for their second dating anniversary flashed when the light hit them. Papyrus stood up and patted down his black suit and fixed his red tie. C/n ran over to y/n and hugged her leg as she placed her hand on the back of his/her head.

Papyrus walked over to y/n and kissed her before leaning down to give c/n a kiss on their cheek. “We’ll be back soon.” He said as he and y/n left the house.

C/n looked at Sans. “Why mommy go with Pap?” he/she asked as they crawled up onto Sans’s lap to watch tv with him.

Sans switched the channel to the news where Mettaton was secretly recording Papyrus and y/n from his studio. “Okay, it looks like they just left the house and still don't know that we are watching them. I'm going to call up Sans now.”

Sans’s cellphone rang and he picked up. “I'm watching it now with her kid.”

C/n looked up at Sans and pointed at the tv. “Mommy in tv! There mommy!” He/she shouted while jumping up and down on the couch.

Sans grabbed the child with his right arm and held them back down on his lap while he was still holding the phone with his left hand. “Sorry about that. The kid had a skele-ton of sugar when y/n and Paps were getting ready.”

Mettaton sighed at the pun. “How do they live with you?”

“I guess I don’t get under their skin.” Sans started to laugh at his own pun.

Papyrus and y/n walked into the MTT restaurant and the monster at the reservation desk called over a host who sat the two by the stage. Papyrus pushed y/n’s chair in and sat across from her. Shyren got onto the stage and started to sing (surprisingly well). The waiter brought over a bottle of red wine and two glasses. Papyrus blushed as he poured wine in both glasses. “I-I’m glad that you were able to get off of w-work this whole w-week.”

Y/n smiled and took the tall skeletons hand. “What makes you think I would miss a chance to go on a date with the man I love.”

Papyrus blushed and looked away. “T-THE GREAT PAPYRUS does not deserve a woman like  you. No man is even good enough for you an-and I don’t how I was able t-”

He was cut off by a kiss on his teeth.  “You don’t care that my family isn’t rich or that I’ve lived on a farm my whole life.” Papyrus cupped her smaller hands in his large ones. “You take care of c/n, you are being a father to a child that isn’t yours. What makes you think you are not good enough for me.” Papyrus smiled and blushed more giving y/n’s hands a little squeeze.

Sans’s face saddened at the memory of what happened when y/n fell into the underground.

~Flashback~

Toriel hurried to the area the screaming came from. She froze in place when she saw a young woman around eighteen years old lying on the ground crying. She ran over to the human and picked her up. She gasped at a scent coming from the woman. “I need to get you home.” She said grabbing the woman's bag and hurried home.

Some time passed and the woman woke up in a bed that she didn’t recognize. She got up and placed her hand on her belly as she left the room and went down the hall. She walked into the living room and saw a large goat woman sitting in a chair reading. Toriel looked up and smiled at the human. “Good, you’re awake. My name is Toriel, I take care of the ruins. What is your name?”

The human just stood there for a second before speaking. “M-my name is  y-y/n”

Toriel smiled. “That’s a lovely name.”  She looked down at y/n’s belly. “You seem to be early into your pregnancy. How far along are you?”

Y/n looked at Toriel surprised. “I-I’m only two months along.” She looked around the room. “Is there… a way back home?”

Toriel’s face saddened at the question. “You shouldn’t leave in your condition. You can stay her for as long as you want.”

“I’m sorry, but I need to get to the farm. They need me.” Lie. They never did.

Toriel stood up and walked to the steps. “I understand child. But know that the other monsters are not like me, they will try to kill you.”

The two walked to a large door in the basement. “I promise you that I will make it.” Y/n said as she left. Toriel turned around and made her way upstairs with tears in her eyes.

Y/n walked down the path trying to find something to help her find a way home when she saw a sentry station with two skeletons and a fish woman.

“You need to find another human or else we can’t leave!” The fish woman yelled.

Sans looked to his left and smiled. “Looks like it’s your lucky day. There is one now.” He said causing the tall skeleton and fish to look at y/n.

The fish woman stepped forward and pointed her spear at y/n. “Human! Your sole it the last one we need to go above ground! Hand it over or I will need to use extreme force to take it from you!”

Y/n’s eyes widened. “They really are going to try to kill me. I’m not going to let that happen.” She thought. “You can’t have my soul and you won't be able to take it from me!” The fish threw a spear and it almost hit y/n. “It’s sick that you are trying to hit two birds with one stone!” Y/n said loud enough for the three monsters to hear.

The tall skeleton gave y/n a confused look. “THE GREAT PAPYRUS does not understand what you mean.”

“I’ve known people to beat small children but to try to beat an unborn child is sick! Now listen ‘the great papyrus’, you sound like a cool guy to hang around but I don't want to cause any trouble, I just want to get home so I can raise my baby.”

Papyrus’s eyes widened and her ran over to y/n and scooped her up into a hug. “You haven’t even seen my traps and you think I’m cool! I can’t let Undyne kill you!” He looked over at the fish. “Please don’t kill her! I’ll make sure she doesn’t get into trouble, I promise!”

Undyne lifted another spear and started to charge at the two causing Papyrus to drop y/n back onto her feet and run out of the way. Y/n grabbed the staff part of the spear and planted her feet firmly onto the ground causing the two women to be at a stand still. “I’ve been in worse fights than this. If you think you can take me, think again.”

Undyne looked down at y/n and saw the knife marks on her neck and chest the back at y/n before putting her spear away. “Papyrus, take her. I’ll make sure Asgore doesn’t find out about her.” She pushed y/n over to the tall skeleton as she left.

Papyrus held the small human close and he looked down at her. “Now you have the honor to have THE GREAT PAPYRUS as a best friend!” He said.

The shorter skeleton walked up to the two. “Or you found a girlfriend.” He chuckled.

“SANS!” Papyrus yelled as he blushed and held y/n closer.

~Present~

The waiter brought out two plates of spaghetti and a basket of bread sticks. “Enjoy your meal.” He said before leaving.

Y/n’ smiled as Papyrus started to happily eat his spaghetti. “Both you and c/n love your spaghetti.” She laughed.

Papyrus looked up and stared lovingly into y/n’s e/c eyes. “D-do you remember when I asked you be be mine?’ He blushed and looked away.

“How could I not remember.”

~Flashback~

Y/n was sitting on the couch reading with the book resting on her five month pregnant belly. Papyrus peeked at her from the kitchen while Sans laughed at his brother. “Why don’t you just ask her already? She’s been here for three months and every time you notice her belly grow you tell me that you ‘want to be a daddy’ and whenever she falls asleep next to you, you put your arm around her and rest it on her stomach. Just ask her, I’m sure she will say yes.”

Papyrus took a deep breath before walking out. He sat down next to y/n gaining her attention. “Y-y/n? I need to tell you somethin.” Y/n put her book down and looked at Papyrus with a smile. “I-I’ve had a crush on you s-since I met y-you an-an-and I was wondering if you would like to go on a date with me.”

Y/n blushed and kissed the skeletons cheek. “I would love to go on a date with you.” She said getting up and put her hand on her belly before walking to the extra room that the brother made into her room.”

“I KNEW SHE COULDN’T RESIST THE GREAT PAPYRUS!!!”

~Present~

Papyrus wrapped y/n in his arms as they started walking to Waterfall. His hand fell down to y/n’s stomach then back up to her shoulders. “You still haven't broken that habit?” Y/n laughed causing Papyrus to blush more.

Papyrus started to smirk and scooped y/n up into  his arms before running into the blue fields and spun her around as he fell backwards with her on top of him. Y/n rolled off of her boyfriend’s chest and onto the ground next to him. “I guess I just miss having a little baby around. C/n is getting so big now and soon he/she won’t be small enough to play like they do now.” He moved so that his head was laying on her stomach. “I guess I just want another baby in the house someday.” He started to laugh. “I remember when c/n was born. We were only dating for about four months and we were at Undyne’s house.”

~Guess what!!! FLASHBACK~

Y/n was sitting on a chair while Sans and Alphys were feeling the baby kick and Papyrus and Undyne were making spaghetti. Y/n gasped at one of the kicks causing Alphys to laugh. “I-I-I-I felt th-that one.”

Y/n stood up and grabbed her belly in pain as tears started to fall from her eyes. “Papyrus!” She fell onto her knees and Sans held her up as Alphys started to freak out. “The baby is coming!”

Papyrus dropped the tomatoes and ran to y/n’s side and held her hand. “Al-Alphys! You need to do something! I don't think we can get her to a hospital soon.”

Alphus looked at Undyne then back at y/n. “Get s-some cold water and towels o-or blankets.”

~5 painful hours later~

Papyrus carried y/n into the house and laid her down on her bed with sans following him with a baby boy/girl in his arms. Papyrus gently took the baby from Sans and put him/her in their crib. “I-I’ll sleep in here tonight. She told me that she’s been having nightmare about him lately.”

Sans smiled. “I keep telling her that he’s going to have a bad time if I ever find him.” Sans looked at one of the photos on the wall from when she first started to live with the skeletons. Her chest, neck, face, and arms were covered with cuts and bruises  from her ex-boyfriend. “She’s been getting better. She doesn’t shake any more and it looks like all of the cuts are gone.” He stepped out of the door as Papyrus got under the blankets and pulled y/n to his chest. “Goodnight Pap. Make sure you take care of her and my nephew/niece.” He closed the door and want up to his bedroom.

Papyrus looked over at the baby then down at y/n before whispering. “I’m a daddy.” Light orange tears started to roll down his face.  He wrapped his arms around y/n. “This is how I want to live my life.” He kissed the top of y/n’s head. “I want to live with you for the rest of my life. I’m going to save up some money for a ring that is just as beautiful as you.” He softly said before drifting into sleep only to be woken up an hour later by a smelly and hungry baby.

~Present~

Papyrus walked y/n over to a cliff that overlooked a sea of sparkling blue water. She looked at it amazed as Papyrus got down on one knee. Y/n looked at him and covered her mouth. Mettaton made sure the cameras were streaming to every tv underground. “Y/n, I’ve been planning this day over and over in my head since I realized that I wanted to be with you forever. I want to have a family with you, I want to be your shoulder to cry on, I want to be the one you get mad at, I want to protect you, I want to wake up every morning to your face, I want to shower you with my love, but more importantly, I want to be the husband you always wanted and the father you wanted for c/n.” He reached into his pocket and held out a silver ring with a small diamond heart and ruby heart on it and the words “love stronger than determination” engraved into it. “Y/n, I was hoping that you also wanted to live the rest of your life with me. Will you give me the privilege to being my wife and marry me?”

Tears rolled down y/n’s face. “Y-yes! O-o-of course I’ll marry you!” Papyrus slid the ring onto y/n’s finger before standing up and kissing her.

Mettaton shut off the camera and looked at the one that was recording him at his studio. “There you go. The first monster and human engagement. You been watching this live on Mettaton TV.”

Sans turned off the tv and held a sleeping c/n in his arms. “God, kid, you are still adorable. Good thing your mom left your dad. He’s never going to hurt you.” Frisk walked into the house and looked at Sans and c/n. He started to walk over to y/n’s door. “She’s not here. She’s in waterfall with Pap, celebrating their engagement.” Frisk looked at the skeleton before walking out of the house. Shivers ran down Sans’s spine. “Don’t be like the last timeline.” His eye turned blue. “I won't watch them die again.”

~Flash back to another timeline~

Sans held Papyrus’s scarf and c/n’s blanked in his hand. He slid the two cloths into y/n’s engagement ring and put them in his pocket as Frisk walked into the doors. “You’re sick, ya know that? Murdering a baby in front of his/her mother, then killing my brother knowing that we were watching, and finally slitting her throat just so you can enjoy watching her slowly die? they were my family and you took them away.” Sans’s eye turned blue and yellow along with his hand. “Mercy is off of the table. I shouldn’t of made that promise to not kill you but you know what? This is the one promise I and going to love breaking, you dirty brother killer.” Sans threw Frisk at every wall as hand as he could before bringing out the Gaster Blasters.

Frisk slowly sat up and looked around the room. His eyes widened as he saw the apparitions of everyone he killed. Toriel was standing in the distance crying in her hands, Papyrus was standing behind a crying y/n as she held c/n tightly in her arms, Undyne was sitting on the ground next to Alphys mumbling, and Mettaton was holding Napstablook trying to comfort him. Their bodies were black with white faces and the final blow that Frisk gave them was red. He started to cry and closed his eyes and whispered “Total reset.”

Everything went white. Sans opened his eyes and saw Papyrus and Undyne standing with him at the sentry station. “You need to find another human or else we can’t leave!” Undyne yelled.

Sans heard crunching snow and smiled before turning to his left. “Looks like it’s your lucky day. There is one now.”

~Present~

San’s put c/n in his/her bed and walked back into the livingroom as Papyrus and y/n walked inside. Papyrus ran upstairs to get changed and y/n stayed by Sans. “Do you think it will be different this time around?”

Sans jumped a little. “Y-you remember the timeline? I thought I was the only one who knew about it.”

Y/n laughed. “I’m a human like Frisk. It feels like déjà vu to us but we remember everything. Sometimes we have dreams about it and feel the pain that we had.”

“The nightmares. They weren’t of c/n’s father.”

“They were in the first timeline but not anymore.”
